How did the USF Men’s Basketball team become an overnight success?

Welcome back or welcome to, the Lawyer’s Well-being Brief. Every week, I share insights on ways to improve our well-being. This week we look at the USF Men’s Basketball team and what appears to be an overnight success story. We all know there is no such thing as an overnight success.

The University of South Florida Bulls Men’s basketball team just completed their most successful season in the program's history. The team is currently 23–6 and went 16–2 in conference play. They won the American Athletic Conference regular season title and will be the number one seed when the conference tournament starts tomorrow. The USF men’s basketball team was ranked 25th in the AP Top 25 College Basketball Poll and the USA Today Coaches Poll for the first time in program history on February 26, 2024. USF went 14–18 overall and 7–11 in conference play. In the previous 10 seasons, USF had gone 43–133 in the American Athletic Conference, never once finishing with a winning record in league play.
