Maurice Ashley is a trailblazing figure in the world of chess, renowned for his accomplishments as an American chess player, author, commentator and as a promoter of the game. In 1999, he earned the FIDE title of Grandmaster. Maurice discovered chess during his teenage years, developing a passion for the game and honing his skills at local chess clubs and parks.
